Statement of Faith

General Purpose Statement

The purpose of this Statement of Faith is to provide a clear and unified expression of the biblical truths that guide the mission, values, and ministry practices of Teen Advisors, Inc. Rooted in the teachings of Christian Scripture and the historic Christian faith, it reflects our commitment to glorify God by equipping young people to know, love, and follow Jesus Christ.

This Statement of Faith establishes the foundation for our organization’s work, fostering alignment among staff, volunteers, and partners, as we serve youth with excellence and integrity. It serves as a guide for teaching, mentoring, and discipling young people, enabling them to grow in faith, develop Christ-like character, and impact their communities for the Gospel.

We affirm this Statement of Faith as a declaration of our shared beliefs and a source of encouragement and accountability in advancing the mission God has entrusted to us.

Statement of Faith

I. The Bible

We believe that the Bible, composed of the 39 books of the Old Testament and the 27 books of the New Testament, is the inspired, inerrant, and infallible Word of God. It serves as the ultimate authority and guide for faith, life, and conduct.

“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” – 2 Timothy 3:16-17, NIV

II. God

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. He is the Creator and Sustainer of all things, infinite in wisdom, power, holiness, and love.

“As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on him. And a voice from heaven said, ‘This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.’” – Matthew 3:16-17, NIV

III. Jesus Christ

We believe in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who is fully God and fully man. Born of a virgin, He lived a sinless life, died on the cross as a substitutionary sacrifice for our sins, and rose bodily from the dead. He ascended to heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father, interceding for believers, and will return in glory to judge the living and the dead.

“Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.’” – John 14:6, NIV

IV. The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity. He convicts the world of sin, regenerates hearts, and empowers believers to live for Christ.

“Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory.” – Ephesians 1:13-14, NIV

V. Humanity and Sin

We believe that humanity was created in the image of God, possessing intrinsic dignity and worth, to glorify God and live in harmony and fellowship with Him forever. Through the fallen human family, sin permeates the social order, alienating persons from God, from one another, from themselves, and from the rest of creation. All have sinned and fallen short of God’s glory, resulting in separation from God.

“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” – Romans 3:23

VI. Salvation

We believe salvation is a gift of God’s grace, received by faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross. It is not earned by works but granted through trust in Christ’s atoning sacrifice and resurrection.

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.” – Ephesians 2:8-9, NIV

VII. Resurrection and Judgment

We believe in the bodily resurrection of all people. Those who trust in Christ will experience eternal joy in God’s presence, while those who reject Him will face eternal separation from God.

“For he has set a day when he will judge the world with justice by the man he has appointed. He has given proof of this to all men by raising him from the dead.” – Acts 17:31, NIV

VIII. The Return of Christ

We believe in the literal and personal return of Jesus Christ to establish His kingdom in fullness. This hope inspires us to live with purpose and urgency as we share the Gospel.

“For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.” – 1 Thessalonians 4:16, NIV

“So Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.” – Hebrews 9:28

This Statement of Faith reflects our commitment to the unchanging truths of God’s Word as we serve, mentor, and equip young people for a life of purpose in Christ.
