Velocity

In physics, an object only demonstrates velocity as it moves in one continuous direction further & further from it's starting position.  Imagine a school-based program that empowers middle school students move each other in the right direction.  You've just imagined "Velocity", which is Teen Advisors' middle school program.

This year, we will have over 220 student members, serving over 2,100 of their peers at 14 Columbus-area middle schools.  Velocity members sign a contract, pledging to each other to abstain from drugs, alcohol, and sexual activities, and to be positive role models in their schools & communities.  Velocity staff & volunteers then give them tons of support and empowerment through super-fun, excellent trainings & events.  Then, all throughout the school year, Velocity students directly & repeatedly impact their peers at school through Velocity Classroom Sessions, which are student-led, interactive presentations that take place in the school classroom, during the school day, so every student can be reached by the transformative phenomenon of Velocity!
